Twitter has always been changing this year around, this time comes with the limit of characters you can have in a tweet.
In the past your tweet can only have 140 charaters and links and videos take up 24 characters so there are not that much words you can say in a tweet, with this update, there will be more room for you to share your ideas, photos or promotional information. Good update to all the marketers!
Recently this Facebook owned company has announced its upcoming updates, now you can add your business profile for your Instagram account, it has to be operated in the mobile phone so now I can’t take screenshots of it but here’s the post that digging into the algorithm of the new Instagram feeds, check it out on Buffer
Instagram has updated their logo last month and besides that , it also changed the way you see the post in your streamline. In the past , the posts are shown in the chronological way and now you will see the post in a more engaging way, which means you will see posts that Instagram thinks you like and posts from those account that you have engaged in recent days. For example , a post with 1 like and no comment will shown to you instead of a post with 20k likes and 2k comments if you have engaged several times with the former account but no engagement with the latter account.
So with the new update for the algorithm, what should we do as a marketer or business owners?
- Ask your audience to engage you more so that they don’t miss your post.
- Tell them this update and let them open the notificaion for your post by clicking the triple dots of your profile.
- Email your customers/audiences to follow the two steps above so that they can get the latest update from you.
